Akihabara-based pop group AKB48, who has evolved into one of Japan's most popular girl groups since Morning Musume, is finally unleashing their second album after two years. Kamikayoku Tachi features two brand-new songs and 13 hit songs from the past two years, including the group's first Oricon no. 1 single River, the cheerful dance track Ogoe Diamond, and Sakura no Shiori, the first single by a female artist in seven years to score first-week sales of more than 300,000 copies.
